Past events and participation include:

Fall 2004:

The R U Tap Troupe held its first meetings and generated general interest in the club by participating in involvement fairs and preparing for the upcoming semester.

Spring 2005:

Practices: Thursday practices were led by Maria Alne and Libre Katzman. Monday tap improvisation sessions led by Sarah Welch.
Performances: Appearances included Dance Marathon, Aids Benefit Show, and Rutgers College Open House.
Events/Trips:Events included a trip to see "First stop on the A Train: A Celebration of Black Artists in Tap," performed by the NJ Tap Ensemble and a trip to Broadway Dance Center to take a class with Bettye Morrow. Fall 2005:

Practices and Choreographers: Beginner practice (Love Will Keep Us Together) was led by Rachel Bradley on Sunday afternoons and Thursday evenings. Intermediate practice (Ripper Sole by Stomp) was led by Sarah Welch on Sunday afternoons. Advanced practice (Gravel by Ani Difranco) was led by Caitlin Kennedy on Sunday afternoons and advanced practice (BOB by Outkast) was led by Eileen Healey on Thursday evenings.
Performances:Appearances included the freshman open house on College Avenue.
Events/Trips: Trips included a trip to the Swing 46 Jazz Club in New York City to participate in a tap jam. Events included "Dancing in the Street," showcasing tap dancers outside of Brower Commons.

Spring 2006:

Choreographers: Advance a cappella dance "No need to press play," was taught by Eileen Healey. Beginner "Earth Beat" dance was taught by Rachel Bradley. Intermediate "Steven's Last Night in Town," dance was taught by Sarah Welch. Advanced "Shake," dance was taught by Dionna Perron. Intermediate "Bhangra Mix," dance was taught by Vanessa Palka. Beginner/Intermediate "Hit the Road Jack," dance was taught by Debbie Toplansky.
Performances: included the Freshmen Open House, Relay for Life, Dance Marathon, and for the first time, the "Tap Troupe Spring Showcase."
Events/Trips: Events included a showing of the movie "Tap," to the entire Rutgers community and a "Dancing in the Street," tap event outside of Brower Commons.

Fall 2006:

Practices and Choreographers: Sunday afternoon beginner/intermediate "Gold Digger," dance was taught by Michelle Blauschild. Sunday night advanced "Led Zeppelin," dance was taught by Caitlin Kennedy. Monday night beginner/intermediate dance was taught by Debbie Toplansky. Tuesday night beginner "Boogie That Be," dance was taught by Rachel Bradley. Tuesday night advanced beginner "Mister Postman," dance was taught by Rachel Bradley. Thursday night improvisation sessions were led by Eileen Healey." Thursday night "Fever," dance was taught by Sarah Welch.
Performances: included an alumni picnic event and a Performing Arts Benefit show sponsored by the Tap Troupe for the Institute for Arts and Humanities nonprofit in New Brunswick.
Events/Trips: included a trip to see a New Jersey Tap Ensemble show called, "Harlem Renaissance."
